A SHOW crocodile in a Chinese amusement park has been shot to death after it dragged a nine-year-old schoolboy into its pond and devoured him.

Several youths had climbed over the fence at the Yintan resort in Beihai and were hitting animals with sticks and rocks when one croc took hold of the boy's clothes and pulled him into the water, the Beijing Morning Post said today.

A swarm of up to 11 crocodiles then ate the boy, the report said.

The crocodiles are still being bred even though their performances at the park were halted several years ago, it said.

Investigators who searched the whole Saturday for missing child shot the crocodile and found the parts of human body in it.

9 years old Liu dissapeared on Friday after jumping along with three children over the fence around pool in the crocodile park. Children shot the animals from the sling and beated them with wodden bars.

One of crocodiles grabbed the boy for his chothes and dragged him off in the water where other crocodiles ate him.

The next day, snipers used the pork in order to entice the crocodile. They shot the first one that went out to eat. There is no further information what happened to other crocodiles because nobody wanted to give any comments.

The park have a guard whose duty is to take care of such things, but it is not known why guard was not on duty, CNN.com writes.

I could have told you that would happen. They have incredible weight and force coming down on someone but hardly any pressure lifting their jaw/snout upright which is what allows people to capture/tackle them.

Anyone can hold them when their snout is closed but when it comes open just a tiny bead of sweat will cause them to clamp down hard and once they do that, its lights out.

i have been watching that planet earth thing on discovery all weekend and one of the things they showed was an alligator catching and eating a 500+ lb wildabeast (or however you spell it) it was amazing what these gators did to this animal much less a human
